The MONTANHA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sílvio Sarmento should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeu Prado in the 14th minute of play forced MONTANHA's goalkeeper Sílvio Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sílvio Sarmento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guga Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Hélder dos Santos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sílvio Sarmento read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play.
