Tostão Munhoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Ismael de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Pragmáticos 1903's Jean Vaz got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute, Benê Capixaba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When João Adolfo Vander came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Pragmáticos 1903 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Adolfo Vander couldn't finish the play. Vitório Velasco hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the match, João Adolfo Vander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sílvio Sarmento. MONTANHA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Adolfo Vander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Dida Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Tostão Munhoz's late challenge caught a Pragmáticos 1903's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tostão Munhoz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to MONTANHA getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Tostão Munhoz hit a great ball. In the 42nd match minute, MONTANHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio Arantes to maneuver through the defense. MONTANHA's Sílvio Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Furlan in the 43rd minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jean Vaz to strike the kick off in the second half. Pragmáticos 1903's Ismael de Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tostão Munhoz in the 55th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in MONTANHA's zone, Renato de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sílvio Sarmento came out of the goal and Renato de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, MONTANHA's goal looked a bit too open when Naldo Barbosa came free, but Sílvio Sarmento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, João Adolfo Vander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Pragmáticos 1903 getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Luizinho Zonta hit a great ball. Renato de Azevedo hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Naldo Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ismael de Queiroz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 79th minute Renato de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pragmáticos 1903's João Adolfo Vander got a free kick in the 80th minute. Dida Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Jean Vaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sílvio Sarmento was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. After 93 minutes, Dida Pires mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MONTANHA and the Pragmáticos 1903 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 93 played minutes MONTANHA got a freekick which was hit by Dida Pires. Ismael de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dida Pires in the 96th minute of play. Pragmáticos 1903's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
