Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tostão Munhoz made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Queluzito's Percy Cabral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sílvio Sarmento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Queluzito's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Percy Cabral in the 4th minute. The corner ended in Percy Cabral almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MONTANHA's Sílvio Sarmento did a great save. A collision led to MONTANHA getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Valdemar de Amaral hit a great ball. In the 6th minute Nando Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 8 minutes, Valdomiro Valladares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MONTANHA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdomiro Valladares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sílvio Sarmento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nando Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute Nando Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tostão Munhoz in the 17th minute of play forced Queluzito's goalkeeper Paulo José Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kauã do Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kauã do Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st match minute, Queluzito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kauã do Vale to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, MONTANHA's Nilton Pinho got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute, Valdomiro Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percy Cabral in the 26th minute of play forced MONTANHA's goalkeeper Sílvio Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Queluzito's Nando Lima nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sílvio Sarmento made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of MONTANHA booed when Queluzito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percy Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. MONTANHA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tiaguinho Falcão in the 35th minute. After taking down the ball on MONTANHA's corner Tiaguinho Falcão fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Paulo José Rodrigues quite easily take care of the ball. After 36 minutes of play, Queluzito's Nando Lima made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sílvio Sarmento was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nando Lima to make the kick off. Queluzito's José Paulo Corrêa was substituted for Nando Lima. Percy Cabral struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Sílvio Sarmento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Queluzito. José Paulo Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Percy Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee gave Queluzito a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Aírton de Amaral, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of MONTANHA's Sílvio Sarmento. 0-3. MONTANHA's Sílvio Sarmento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save MONTANHA from getting a goal against them. Sílvio Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aírton de Amaral in the 68th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Queluzito's goal looked a bit too open when Valdomiro Valladares came free, but Paulo José Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the MONTANHA defense, Aírton de Amaral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sílvio Sarmento. The MONTANHA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sílvio Sarmento should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Paulo Corrêa in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sílvio Sarmento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tostão Munhoz kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. If Raimundo Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Queluzito could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than MONTANHA throughout the match.
