After a rather tough play, LauerArmy's Geovanni Zonta got a free kick in the 4th minute. MarquinhosEC's Clemente Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Jardel in the 6th minute of play. Clemente Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Jardel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clemente Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélder dos Santos in the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Paulo Jardel made a precise shot to the right of Clemente Varela. MarquinhosEC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 15th minute Paulo Jardel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rdth minute of the game Guga Freire who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MarquinhosEC's Clemente Varela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Zé Carlos Barbosa made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in LauerArmy's zone, Ulisses Carioca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Falcão Cabral came out of the goal and Ulisses Carioca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 62 minutes into the game, Ricardinho Moraes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Falcão Cabral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ulisses Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Falcão Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Falcão Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardinho Moraes in the 75th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, MarquinhosEC's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Brodel came free, but Clemente Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clemente Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guga Freire in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Umberto Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
