Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nando Lima started the match with the kick off. Pedro Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo José Rodrigues having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nando Lima got free with Adelino Coelho in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mazinho Lara charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mazinho Lara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Braga booed when Queluzito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mazinho Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexandrino Bessa hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After 22 played minutes Queluzito got a freekick which was hit by Nando Lima. A collision led to SC Braga getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Leandro Queirós hit a great ball. Adelino Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nando Lima in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Queluzito booed when SC Braga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teófilo Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Percy Cabral struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Adelino Coelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Queluzito. 32 minutes in the game, Nando Lima fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Adelino Coelho having to interfere. Alexandrino Bessa hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute, Alexandrino Bessa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Queluzito made a substitution. Felippe Fonseca replaced Mazinho Lara. After recieving a nice pass, Queluzito's Percy Cabral tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 43 minutes into the match, SC Braga's goalkeeper Adelino Coelho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aírton de Amaral. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Evandro Figueiras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 56 played minutes SC Braga got a freekick which was hit by Alexandrino Bessa. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Braga's goalkeeper Adelino Coelho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paulo José Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 63 played minutes Queluzito got a freekick which was hit by Felippe Fonseca. A collision led to SC Braga getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Alexandrino Bessa hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the game, Pedro Avelar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Braga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Queluzito the free kick. In the 66th minute, Pedro Avelar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Percy Cabral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adelino Coelho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Aírton de Amaral took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adelino Coelho. Adelino Coelho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 84 minutes into the match, Nando Lima notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of SC Braga's Adelino Coelho. Adelino Coelho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 89 minutes, Felippe Fonseca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Queluzito and the SC Braga players grew even worse after the yellow card. Felippe Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. When Pedro Pinho fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Braga's protests and gave Pedro Pinho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th minute, Pedro Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Braga's Adelino Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percy Cabral in the 96th minute of play.
