Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Cacá de Lara made the kick off which started today's match. After a defensive mix-up in Lobo Guará's zone, Pedro Pinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Baiano came out of the goal and Pedro Pinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caetano Coutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Lobo Guará's Válbson Aguiar suffered a concussion after 16 minutes and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Pinho during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lobo Guará's João Augusto Salgado was substituted for Válbson Aguiar. In the 17th minute, Pedro Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, SC Braga's goal looked a bit too open when Jorginho Munhoz came free, but Adelino Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roberto Baiano was a little too slow when Pedro Pinho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-0. After a rather tough play, Lobo Guará's Gustavo Martins got a free kick in the 25th minute. Evandro Figueiras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Avelar's late challenge caught a Lobo Guará's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Avelar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st minute, one of SC Braga:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Braga. Adelino Coelho had in the 32ndth minute some difficulties stopping Gustavo Martins's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The supporters of Lobo Guará booed when SC Braga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrício Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Braga's Adelino Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacá de Lara in the 36th minute of play. In the 38thth minute of the game Gustavo Nunes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Braga's Adelino Coelho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adelino Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cacá de Lara in the 42nd minute of play. Giovanni Sergipano charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giovanni Sergipano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Lobo Guará booed when SC Braga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro Figueiras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

After some careless play in the SC Braga defense, Cacá de Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adelino Coelho. The SC Braga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adelino Coelho should have stopped the shot. 57 minutes into the match, SC Braga's goalkeeper Adelino Coelho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorginho Munhoz. In the 61st minute Lobo Guará were awarded a corner. Gustavo Martins went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Lobo Guará's Gustavo Martins to fire away a dangerous shot which Adelino Coelho despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 69 minutes of play Lobo Guará's Giovanni Sergipano was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Lobo Guará's Giovanni Sergipano got a free kick in the 70th minute. A collision led to Lobo Guará getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Pedro Luiz Simões hit a great ball. Evandro Figueiras was shown his second yellow card after 81 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 82nd match minute, SC Braga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evandro Figueiras to maneuver through the defense. Claudinei Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Pedro Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Baiano having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Moisés Álvares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Lobo Guará supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lobo Guará would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
