Clemente Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Gustavo in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to Pragmáticos 1903 getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. With his leg Clemente Varela managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Pragmáticos 1903's Telmo Palmeira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 42 minutes into the game, Telmo Palmeira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pragmáticos 1903's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MarquinhosEC the free kick. Telmo Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. With 45 minutes on the clock, Guto de Toledo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Pragmáticos 1903. Telmo Palmeira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Clemente Varela. 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Telmo Palmeira to make the kick off. After 52nd play minutes Douglas Gustavo shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Clemente Varela and just under the crossbar into goal. Ricardinho Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael de Queiroz having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clemente Varela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th match minute, MarquinhosEC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murillo de Sena to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Pragmáticos 1903's zone, Ricardinho Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael de Queiroz came out of the goal and Ricardinho Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clemente Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Gustavo, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Pragmáticos 1903's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Carlos Barbosa came free, but Ismael de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pragmáticos 1903's Caio Barreto got a free kick in the 95th minute. MarquinhosEC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
