In the 29thth minute of the game Terry Jamieson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 35 minutes Milferio's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Augustin Panaiteanu who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Gremio Viana's corner Mariusz Lamczyk fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Celso Javiar quite easily take care of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Gremio Viana's goal looked a bit too open when Terry Jamieson came free, but Samuel Fiúza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Fiúza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Terry Jamieson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Gremio Viana defense, Terry Jamieson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuel Fiúza. The Gremio Viana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel Fiúza should have stopped the shot. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Milferio would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
