Andres Ekhi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Vinhas in the 3rd minute of play. Andres Ekhi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Amor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Messi Dream Team's Andres Ekhi threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edmundo Vinhas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 11th match minute, Messi Dream Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Tohias to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Messi Dream Team's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Ramalho came free, but Elias Macerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ricart Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Emanuel Olisadebe hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Ramalho in the 18th minute of play forced Messi Dream Team's goalkeeper Elias Macerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute Ricart Futebol Clube were awarded a corner. Doron Bantz went to the cornerflag to take it. Ricart Futebol Clube's Doron Bantz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Elias Macerio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, Ricart Futebol Clube's Andres Ekhi got control of the ball when Merten Münch tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 32 played minutes Messi Dream Team got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Tohias. Edmundo Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the match, Edmundo Vinhas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Andres Ekhi, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ricart Futebol Clube made a substitution. Eusebio Hori replaced Abel Ramalho. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eusebio Hori to make the kick off. Eusebio Hori blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elias Macerio having to make a save. Elias Macerio came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Ricart Futebol Clube's Eusebio Hori. But to his dismay, Eusebio Hori quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 69 minutes into the match, Ricart Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Merten Münch came free, but Andres Ekhi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Emanuel Olisadebe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 94th minute, Reinaldo Palmeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th match minute, Messi Dream Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaitan Gabriel to maneuver through the defense. 97 minutes into the match, Eusebio Hori notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Messi Dream Team's Elias Macerio. Elias Macerio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match was over Ricart Futebol Clube could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Messi Dream Team throughout the match.
