Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Ramalho in the 66th minute of play. Gremio Viana's Carlos Luna was substituted for Joaquim Paredes. Ricart Futebol Clube's Eusebio Hori was substituted for Abel Ramalho. Ricart Futebol Clube's Hans-Jürgen Beckenbauer quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Amado Melo, made in the 69th minute of the game. Hans-Jürgen Beckenbauer got a throw-in 77 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Doron Bantz. Andres Ekhi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Luna in the 83rd minute. Ricart Futebol Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Carlos Luna scored to the left of an out of position Andres Ekhi, making the score, 5-2. Gremio Viana's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
