Xove Tijerina made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Braga's goalkeeper Laçın Cumayev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 7th match minute, SC Braga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zigmantas Gimbutas to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to SC Braga getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Jon-Egil Sætre hit a great ball. In the 8th minute Özbek Karahan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laçın Cumayev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xove Tijerina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quintino Carvalhais in the 15th minute of play. Kong Xuan Feng hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Laçın Cumayev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cai Wei Xi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 played minutes Cai Wei Xi rounded SC Braga's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Tala Bosques del Jaure's Xove Tijerina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quintino Carvalhais in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Cai Wei Xi made a precise shot to the right of Laçın Cumayev. SC Braga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After a rather tough play, SC Braga's Alberto Malheiro got a free kick in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cai Wei Xi was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cai Wei Xi in the 51st minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Laçın Cumayev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute of the game Pipis Dilberis made a throw-in which Lu Xun Lei played forward. Laçın Cumayev came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Tala Bosques del Jaure's Cai Wei Xi. But to his dismay, Cai Wei Xi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Tala Bosques del Jaure made a substitution. Henry Rockeloos replaced Özbek Karahan. SC Braga's Geraldo Lucas was substituted for André Jordão. 72 minutes into the match, Stig-Åke Mattsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xove Tijerina. Tala Bosques del Jaure's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stig-Åke Mattsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Tala Bosques del Jaure's Edinson Rodríguez was substituted for Cai Wei Xi. Tala Bosques del Jaure's Xove Tijerina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Åke Mattsson in the 76th minute of play. Edinson Rodríguez took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laçın Cumayev. Laçın Cumayev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Laçın Cumayev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edinson Rodríguez's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. If Edinson Rodríguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edinson Rodríguez in the 89th minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Laçın Cumayev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Cieri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Xove Tijerina made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edinson Rodríguez in the 95th minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Laçın Cumayev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tala Bosques del Jaure had won after a very even match.
