The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when VB-Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shao Kun Yuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Emil Chwalkiewicz from long distance, 16 minutes into the match, got Armindo Salgado's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Alfonso Goicoechea's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Armindo Salgado firmly grabbed it by the left post. After taking down the ball on VB-Team's corner Sandro Leitão fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pankracy Glogowski quite easily take care of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfonso Goicoechea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mugur Chiriac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Salgado having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, VB-Team's Gervásio Severiano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pankracy Glogowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Gervásio Severiano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pankracy Glogowski. That made the score 2-2 in the 55 minute of play. After having played for 59 minutes, Shao Kun Yuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VB-Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shao Kun Yuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luís Caeiro was extremely unlucky when he, in the 60th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. VB-Team made a substitution. Yu Ke Hong replaced Shao Kun Yuan. Yu Ke Hong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Pankracy Glogowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's Alfonso Goicoechea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armindo Salgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Caeiro came free, but Pankracy Glogowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Alfonso Goicoechea sped through VB-Team's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Armindo Salgado. Club Atlético Atlanta's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
