Placido Matro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marin Ştefănescu in the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Prudencio Isias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Matro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Dewulf made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sten Vallman in the 17th minute. David Dewulf made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Nereo Monico sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st minute Lauro Idigoras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Dewulf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Waldos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Evandro Ortiz in the 25th minute. The referee showed Kostas Milonas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to The Waldos getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Kostas Milonas hit a great ball. When Kazimierz Madajczyk came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the The Waldos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kazimierz Madajczyk couldn't finish the play. ATILA's Placido Matro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prudencio Isias in the 71st minute of play. After 75 minutes The Waldos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Genadi Kotrulev who took care of the corner kick. Genadi Kotrulev made a great header on ATILA's corner, it was just that The Waldos's David Dewulf managed to reach the ball for a save. The Waldos's Rogelio Velasco was substituted for Alvaro Pagomari. After having played for 85 minutes, Kazimierz Madajczyk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing The Waldos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
