Paolo Caradaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mazinho Barreto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfonso Goicoechea's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. When Club Atlético Atlanta's Alfonso Goicoechea in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's 梅响庭 in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Goicoechea in the 24th minute of play forced FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goalkeeper Mazinho Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 27th minute, but Pankracy Glogowski got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Club Atlético Atlanta hanging dry this time. Pankracy Glogowski made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when 梅响庭 sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Di Toma didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mugur Chiriac to maneuver through the defense. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Jacinto Piarres was substituted for Washington Tasso. Mugur Chiriac kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfonso Goicoechea to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA got a corner. Club Atlético Atlanta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Yu Hong Yong ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Yu Hong Yong got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pankracy Glogowski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's zone, Alfonso Goicoechea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mazinho Barreto came out of the goal and Alfonso Goicoechea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfonso Goicoechea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazinho Barreto having to interfere. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Huly in the 58th minute of play. Pankracy Glogowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 梅响庭, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Alfonso Goicoechea took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Mazinho Barreto to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Di Toma in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pankracy Glogowski saved Club Atlético Atlanta from getting behind. When FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's 梅响庭 in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Pankracy Glogowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Club Atlético Atlanta were awarded a corner in the 98th minute after FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emil Chwalkiewicz took the corner.
