AEK S.C's attentive Thomas Papatrechas managed to snatch the ball when 秦坚永 made a throw-in in the 21st minute of the game. AEK S.C's Thanasis Koltsidas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Tasso in the 22nd minute of play. After 24 played minutes AEK S.C got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Papatrechas. Diego Di Toma took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thanasis Koltsidas. Thanasis Koltsidas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. 梅响庭 hit a great ball. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when 梅响庭 made the kick off in the second half. Sakis Tavlaridis hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. If Jelte Bleiswijk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jelte Bleiswijk might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mazinho Barreto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jelte Bleiswijk ran back to his position shaking his head. 64 minutes into the match, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goal looked a bit too open when Jelte Bleiswijk came free, but Mazinho Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65thth minute of the game Jelte Bleiswijk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Mazinho Barreto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mazinho Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jelte Bleiswijk, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute.
