The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maurino Serena made an important save on a dangerous shot by 梅响庭 in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute of the match A.D. Alcorcón got a corner. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nereo Acosta ran over to the corner to take the kick. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nereo Acosta was slow to take the kick. During this time A.D. Alcorcón's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Xesc Jorquera managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After some careless play in the FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA defense, Erlantz Bermejo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mazinho Barreto. The FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mazinho Barreto should have stopped the shot. Esteban Vadillos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erlantz Bermejo in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mazinho Barreto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 43 minutes into the match, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goal looked a bit too open when Belo Alvarez came free, but Mazinho Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goalkeeper Mazinho Barreto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 47thth minute of the game Erlantz Bermejo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Mazinho Barreto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half A.D. Alcorcón were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Di Clorius was substituted for Jacinto Piarres. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Belo Alvarez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erlantz Bermejo got free with Mazinho Barreto in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alcorcón's Leroy Antunez was substituted for Belo Alvarez. 81 minutes into the match, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goalkeeper Mazinho Barreto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erlantz Bermejo. 82 minutes into the match, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goalkeeper Mazinho Barreto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leroy Antunez. Mazinho Barreto came out of the goal and Erlantz Bermejo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
