The AEK S.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 18 minutes into the match, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Carreira came free, but Mazinho Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mazinho Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jelte Bleiswijk, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The supporters of FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA booed when AEK S.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Winter didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donzel Goyeneta in the 22nd minute of play forced FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goalkeeper Mazinho Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When AEK S.C's Jelte Bleiswijk in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Mazinho Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Francisco de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego Di Toma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Thanasis Koltsidas made a huge save. In the 43rd minute Donzel Goyeneta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazinho Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mazinho Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jelte Bleiswijk in the 44th minute of the match. Mazinho Barreto came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by AEK S.C's Donzel Goyeneta. But to his dismay, Donzel Goyeneta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 梅响庭 made a kick off. Mazinho Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donzel Goyeneta in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute Kevin Carreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazinho Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Donzel Goyeneta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mazinho Barreto was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Gerson Donatello hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 58th match minute, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Di Toma to maneuver through the defense. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Carreira couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Mazinho Barreto got control of the ball when Jelte Bleiswijk tried to sneak it across the goal line. AEK S.C's Donzel Goyeneta got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goal looked a bit too open when Thalis Krommidas came free, but Mazinho Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Kevin Carreira came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the AEK S.C fans jumped to their feet.
