After a rather tough play, KEZ Toppfotball's Peter Mogen got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Olav Nydal managed to get in a good position for a shot. KEZ Toppfotball's supporters rose to their feet, but Olav Nydal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cătălin Dăianu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mihail Ifrim's late challenge caught a KEZ Toppfotball's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mihail Ifrim helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FC GURZUN getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Mihail Ifrim hit a great ball. Cătălin Dăianu made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Peter Mogen sent off a good shot on target. In the 11th minute, Cristinel Trapcea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kai-Arne Ulset was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. FC GURZUN's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Peter Mogen scored to the left of an out of position Cătălin Dăianu, making the score, 1-1. The supporters of KEZ Toppfotball booed when FC GURZUN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augustin Gorjanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 minutes, Peter Mogen made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC GURZUN's Cătălin Dăianu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 25 minutes into the match, FC GURZUN's goal looked a bit too open when Gjøran Nome came free, but Cătălin Dăianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of KEZ Toppfotball booed when FC GURZUN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augustin Gorjanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cătălin Dăianu made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Gjøran Nome sent off a good shot on target. Peter Mogen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Cătălin Dăianu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peter Mogen took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cătălin Dăianu. Cătălin Dăianu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 41st minute of the game, Mihail Ifrim landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 41 minutes into the game, Gjøran Nome was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KEZ Toppfotball's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC GURZUN the free kick. Gjøran Nome hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, FC GURZUN's goalkeeper Cătălin Dăianu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peter Mogen. Cătălin Dăianu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olav Nydal went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Augustin Gorjanu made the kick off in the second half. Cătălin Dăianu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gjøran Nome, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Cătălin Dăianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olav Nydal in the 65th minute of play. After 69 minutes, Lars Steen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KEZ Toppfotball and the FC GURZUN players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC GURZUN booed when KEZ Toppfotball was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Steen didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to KEZ Toppfotball getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Peter Mogen hit a great ball. If Augustin Gorjanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kai-Arne Ulset took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Gorjanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
