NoWayOut's Lauro Argandoña was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Damaso Roldanillo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Ronaldo Maradona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the game, NoWayOut's Zülfü Yalazay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Damaso Roldanillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0.

Noroeste Paulista's Damaso Roldanillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascal Klingen in the 57th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, NoWayOut's goalkeeper Ergün Şener had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldo Maradona. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zülfü Yalazay in the 64th minute of play forced Noroeste Paulista's goalkeeper Damaso Roldanillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zülfü Yalazay scored 2-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Damaso Roldanillo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Noroeste Paulista's Ulryk Czajka was substituted for Alfons Persson. Noroeste Paulista's Damaso Roldanillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zülfü Yalazay in the 71st minute of play. İbrahim Efe Mert's late challenge caught a Noroeste Paulista's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. İbrahim Efe Mert helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th minute, the referee gave Noroeste Paulista a penalty. Nuno de Andrade looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Ergün Şener. Noroeste Paulista's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
