The supporters of GARIBALDI FC booed when Bandelocos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anísio Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bandelocos's Nilson do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Ekain in the 45th minute of play. Valdir Garcia did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Rene Llorian 46 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ambrosio Colas to strike the kick off in the second half. Bandelocos were victorious despite being under pressure from GARIBALDI FC for much of the match.
