With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valiente Venezian in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nilson do Vale saved Bandelocos from getting behind. Cercadinho's attentive Everton Ribeiro managed to snatch the ball when Claudinei Nascimento made a throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 36th minute of the match Bandelocos got a corner. Cercadinho's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anísio Teixeira ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cercadinho's goalie and right to Billy Dowdall. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cercadinho's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Dong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Billy Dowdall in the 38th minute of the match. William de Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cercadinho's attentive Everton Ribeiro managed to snatch the ball when Claudinei Nascimento made a throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game. In the 43rd minute, Ulf Bergqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulf Bergqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulf Bergqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Bandelocos booed when Cercadinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulf Bergqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. William de Castro was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Dong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 minutes of play, Bandelocos's Maurinho Vargas made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dong was left in no man's land by his defense there! A sloppy throw-in by Guillermo Bertran in the 63rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Cercadinho's Everton Ribeiro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valiente Venezian in the 67th minute of play forced Bandelocos's goalkeeper Nilson do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdir Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cercadinho's Jailson Mazza was substituted for Ricardinho Sousa.
