The crowd rose to their feet as Thiago Gol kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jurand Wincek. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. After 12 minutes Cuiavia Bydgoszcz's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Florian Hekman who took care of the corner kick. SCs StarS's Matthijs Ebbinge got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matthijs Ebbinge got free with Jurand Wincek in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 23 minutes into the game, Zygmunt Puchlik was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cuiavia Bydgoszcz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SCs StarS the free kick. Thiago Gol might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jurand Wincek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thiago Gol ran back to his position shaking his head. With an all-out effort, SCs StarS's Jurand Wincek threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jordy Dirks, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cuiavia Bydgoszcz's Jurand Wincek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Cuiavia Bydgoszcz from getting a goal against them. Thiago Gol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Cuiavia Bydgoszcz getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Piotr Tarka hit a great ball. Thiago Gol struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Jurand Wincek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SCs StarS. 37 minutes into the game, Thiago Gol recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jurand Wincek. Thiago Gol showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thiago Gol got free with Jurand Wincek in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jurand Wincek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jordy Dirks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Thiago Gol put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jurand Wincek. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thiago Gol made a kick off. Jordy Dirks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jurand Wincek having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthijs Ebbinge in the 53rd minute of play forced Cuiavia Bydgoszcz's goalkeeper Jurand Wincek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the game, SCs StarS's Matthijs Ebbinge nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jurand Wincek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jordy Dirks in the 57th minute of play forced Cuiavia Bydgoszcz's goalkeeper Jurand Wincek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jurand Wincek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jordy Dirks, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute.
