In the 3rd match minute, H E P T A N was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osman Akdurmuş to maneuver through the defense. Nikolas Kafkalas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Orhan Seyfi Üstün made a huge save. In the 9th minute Ettore Madaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orhan Seyfi Üstün saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC GURZUN's Sérgio Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Ziya Bilginer in the 15th minute of play. Arman Başarman's late challenge caught a FC GURZUN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arman Başarman helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC GURZUN booed when H E P T A N was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arman Başarman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Ramiro Gago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nae Hurmuzache spun around in front of the goal 24 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of H E P T A N's goal. Ali Orhan Yalvaç charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ali Orhan Yalvaç the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ali Orhan Yalvaç hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, FC GURZUN's Orhan Seyfi Üstün threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ettore Madaio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 32nd minute Joakim Andersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orhan Seyfi Üstün saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orhan Seyfi Üstün made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikolas Kafkalas in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute Arman Başarman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arman Başarman in the 36th minute of play forced FC GURZUN's goalkeeper Sérgio Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the H E P T A N defense, Nae Hurmuzache kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Orhan Seyfi Üstün. The H E P T A N fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Orhan Seyfi Üstün should have stopped the shot. If Ettore Madaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, H E P T A N's Arman Başarman got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 46th minute Ettore Madaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orhan Seyfi Üstün saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sérgio Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Orhan Yalvaç in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Ali Orhan Yalvaç got free with Sérgio Vargas in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, FC GURZUN's Joakim Andersson got a free kick in the 54th minute. Ahmet Ziya Bilginer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Sérgio Vargas made a huge save. Sérgio Vargas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ali Orhan Yalvaç in the 56th minute. Aytuğ Nezihi hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. A collision led to H E P T A N getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Kıraç Ergüden hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in H E P T A N's zone, Ettore Madaio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orhan Seyfi Üstün came out of the goal and Ettore Madaio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute Ali Orhan Yalvaç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
