With a little luck, Radiohead Freaks Club's Thom Threepwood got control of the ball when Zoltán Varga tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 19 minutes Radiohead Freaks Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Walmir Breckenfeld who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Erwin Bienvenu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thom Threepwood quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cayo Mario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gyula Grosics read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Január Csillag recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Radiohead Freaks Club's goal looked a bit too open when Zoltán Varga came free, but Thom Threepwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gyula Grosics made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cayo Mario in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute of the match Radiohead Freaks Club got a corner. Gyál United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Noe Seedorf ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Breckenfeld in the 45th minute of play forced Radiohead Freaks Club's goalkeeper Thom Threepwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferry Ribéry hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Cayo Mario made the kick off in the second half. Radiohead Freaks Club's Beti Roman managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kenyon Lala in the 50 minute of the game. In the 60thth minute of the game Erwin Bienvenu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Radiohead Freaks Club's Thom Threepwood was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cayo Mario got free with Gyula Grosics in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gyál United's Kemal Davarcı was substituted for Zoltán Varga. Tito Montaño got a throw-in 68 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Walmir Breckenfeld. Cayo Mario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gyula Grosics having to interfere. Thom Threepwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferry Ribéry, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 84 minutes into the match, Radiohead Freaks Club's goal looked a bit too open when Kemal Davarcı came free, but Thom Threepwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thom Threepwood was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
