Elvio Opilano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Xabat, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Capitan Beto's zone, Felipe Xabat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elvio Opilano came out of the goal and Felipe Xabat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the match, CERPA's goal looked a bit too open when Ramon Richie came free, but Silvestre Ulizes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victoriano Tonete took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elvio Opilano. Elvio Opilano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 20 minutes into the game, Felipe Xabat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Elvio Opilano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute Efrain Roldan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Opilano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Capitan Beto's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Denturck came free, but Elvio Opilano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elvio Opilano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Xabat in the 28th minute of the match. Laureano Giraldo charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laureano Giraldo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of CERPA booed when Capitan Beto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Giraldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 34 minutes of play, CERPA's Efrain Roldan made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elvio Opilano was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Capitan Beto defense, Efrain Roldan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elvio Opilano. The Capitan Beto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elvio Opilano should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Efrain Roldan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Elvio Opilano came out and tried to block the shot, but Efrain Roldan slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Roldan in the 55th minute of play forced Capitan Beto's goalkeeper Elvio Opilano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Xabat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Elvio Opilano made a huge save. Felipe Xabat succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-8 in the 58th playminute. Elvio Opilano stood somewhat misplaced when Wilhelm Volle came free in front of goal and shot 0-9 to the left of him in the 69 minute. Felipe Xabats short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Elvio Opilano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Felipe Xabat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Opilano having to interfere. In the 79th minute Victoriano Tonete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Opilano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Felipe Xabat made a precise shot to the right of Elvio Opilano. Capitan Beto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-10. Elvio Opilano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victoriano Tonete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, CERPA's Elvio Opilano threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Victoriano Tonete, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 95th match minute, Capitan Beto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Elivareo to maneuver through the defense. CERPA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
