After having played for 10 minutes, Tadeo Johans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monster Proyect's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeo Johans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Monster Proyect's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Avelar came free, but Vytautas Gudonis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Monster Proyect's Vytautas Gudonis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Avelar in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Monster Proyect's goal looked a bit too open when Petrigai Guau came free, but Vytautas Gudonis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vytautas Gudonis made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Radoslaw Zagrodny sent off a good shot on target. Göran Bröms made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Onofre in the 23rd minute of play. If Maicon Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Göran Bröms showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Johans, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Vytautas Gudonis made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Rui Avelar sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th minute Radoslaw Zagrodny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vytautas Gudonis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Monster Proyect booed when BRUGGE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brion Retana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Göran Bröms didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilberto Onofre went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rui Avelar was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Monster Proyect was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cotera Nevares to maneuver through the defense. Tadeo Seme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Göran Bröms tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vytautas Gudonis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Avelar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tadeo Johans fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monster Proyect's protests and gave Tadeo Johans a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th match minute, Monster Proyect was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeo Johans to maneuver through the defense. Vytautas Gudonis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Avelar in the 69th minute of the match. 69 minutes in the game, Rui Avelar dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rui Avelar in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vytautas Gudonis saved Monster Proyect from getting behind. With a little luck, BRUGGE FC's Göran Bröms got control of the ball when Tadeo Johans tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilberto Onofre's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Göran Bröms skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petrigai Guau in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vytautas Gudonis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. BRUGGE FC's Göran Bröms proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save BRUGGE FC from getting a goal against them. In the 90th minute Petrigai Guau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vytautas Gudonis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Rui Avelar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vytautas Gudonis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Monster Proyect walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
