After a rather tough play, Rose Gold FC's Rafael Schmidt got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Godwin Sapiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th minute, Sergen Sergen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oséias Vidal was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, Rose Gold FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sergen Sergen came free, but Oséias Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Sergen Sergen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Oséias Vidal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 29 minutes into the match, Rose Gold FC's goalkeeper Oséias Vidal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jean Carl Cassar Torreggiani. Oséias Vidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergen Sergen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Attard Gunners's corner Jean Carl Cassar Torreggiani fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Oséias Vidal quite easily take care of the ball. Attard Gunners's Jay Jowsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filippo Tundo in the 38th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Rose Gold FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Said came free, but Oséias Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jay Jowsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raí de Amorim in the 45th minute of the match. If Alan Said had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raí de Amorim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Rose Gold FC's Antônio Galvão got a free kick in the 58th minute. Sergen Sergen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. In the 76th minute, Sergen Sergen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oséias Vidal was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After 83 minutes of play, Attard Gunners's Sergen Sergen made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oséias Vidal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sergen Sergen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oséias Vidal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergen Sergen in the 88th minute of play forced Rose Gold FC's goalkeeper Oséias Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 92 played minutes Attard Gunners got a freekick which was hit by Louis Naudi. Attard Gunners's Michael Testaferrata Olivier was substituted for Alan Said. Attard Gunners's Adrian Savona was substituted for Sergen Sergen. After 93 played minutes Attard Gunners got a freekick which was hit by Louis Naudi. There was no doubt that Attard Gunners were the better team. Attard Gunners's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
