Yu Cheng Jing could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Tom Are made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Harku Devils's zone, Wieslaw Zieba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Are came out of the goal and Wieslaw Zieba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tom Are showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Mannie, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yu Cheng Jing in the 16th minute of play forced Harku Devils's goalkeeper Tom Are to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Radomil Ratulowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Are having to interfere. Ildefonso Louis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jaan Niilo went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 30th minute Riivo Mustikas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ildefonso Louis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Riivo Mustikas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jaan Niilo fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Harku Devils's protests and gave Jaan Niilo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gonzales Chaves FC booed when Harku Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaan Niilo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tom Are made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wieslaw Zieba in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Harku Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Mannie came free, but Tom Are reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tom Are took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dante Peruanton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Riivo Mustikas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
