Edmundo de Toledo made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Endrik Halland sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Endrik Halland got free with Edmundo de Toledo in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, U21 Brazil's Rony Dudu got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After 23 minutes, 孔翔沙 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buritama Sports and the U21 Brazil players grew even worse after the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bebeto Branco couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Buritama Sports defense, Rony Dudu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmundo de Toledo. The Buritama Sports fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmundo de Toledo should have stopped the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rony Dudu made a kick off. A collision led to Buritama Sports getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Diguinho Velloso hit a great ball. In the 54th minute Rony Dudu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmundo de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 54 minutes of play, U21 Brazil's Rony Dudu made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edmundo de Toledo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 60 minutes into the game, U21 Brazil's Endrik Halland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmundo de Toledo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 66th minute of the match U21 Brazil got a corner. Buritama Sports's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lionel Messias ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Joaquim Vega heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. During the 72nd minute of the match Alessandro Félix completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alessandro Félix a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Buritama Sports's Alessandro Félix got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Toninho Freitas made in the 74th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Frédson Terra however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Dal Bello in the 77th minute of play forced Buritama Sports's goalkeeper Edmundo de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmundo de Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Endrik Halland in the 84th minute of the match. Jan-Ove Gustavsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Michel Neuer made a huge save. In the 87th minute Dan Dal Bello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmundo de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When U21 Brazil's Endrik Halland in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. U21 Brazil's Dan Dal Bello managed to work through Buritama Sports's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Dan Dal Bello dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 91 played minutes U21 Brazil got a freekick which was hit by Kaká MacAlister. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Buritama Sports's goalkeeper Edmundo de Toledo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
