Peter Huppertz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justino Bidari, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 26th minute, Adan Cuartio fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Adan Cuartio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Miersch in the 36th minute of play forced Rata de alcantarilla's goalkeeper Gaudencio Gaitan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaudencio Gaitan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Miersch in the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Albert Miersch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaudencio Gaitan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Albert Miersch cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gaudencio Gaitan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 47 minutes into the match, Arne Fabry notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Rata de alcantarilla's Gaudencio Gaitan. Gaudencio Gaitan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half SV Bauar Köln were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Justino Bidari to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Rata de alcantarilla got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Luar. SV Bauar Köln's Christof Holzmann couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 54th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Rata de alcantarilla. If Arne Fabry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, Rata de alcantarilla's goalkeeper Gaudencio Gaitan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albert Miersch. When Paolo Jacindo fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rata de alcantarilla's protests and gave Paolo Jacindo a yellow card for diving instead. 75 minutes into the match, Rata de alcantarilla's goalkeeper Gaudencio Gaitan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albert Miersch. When Adan Cuartio came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Rata de alcantarilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adan Cuartio couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Rata de alcantarilla's Gaudencio Gaitan got control of the ball when Albert Miersch tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gaspar Odilon's late challenge caught a SV Bauar Köln's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaspar Odilon helped the player get up and apologised. Gaspar Odilon kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The supporters of SV Bauar Köln booed when Rata de alcantarilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paolo Jacindo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Rata de alcantarilla's zone, Arne Fabry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaudencio Gaitan came out of the goal and Arne Fabry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arne Fabry blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gaudencio Gaitan having to make a save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SV Bauar Köln eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
