Mario Ferrando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milton Bustamante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelo Botello hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benji Campos in the 15th minute of play forced ELAUBE's goalkeeper Mario Ferrando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ELAUBE's Mario Ferrando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Barragan in the 17th minute of play. After 18 minutes, Christian Rojas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Richmond City and the ELAUBE players grew even worse after the yellow card. Christian Rojas hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Mario Ferrando came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Richmond City's Ramon Barragan. But to his dismay, Ramon Barragan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Benji Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramon Barragan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milton Bustamante in the 33rd minute of play forced ELAUBE's goalkeeper Mario Ferrando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Richmond City's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Hibai came free, but Libardo Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Selvin Parada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Mario Ferrando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 43 played minutes ELAUBE got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Hibai. Mario Ferrando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon Barragan in the 45th minute of the match. When ELAUBE's Pascual Hever in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Richmond City's goalie prevented a goal. Dionisio Firmo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 48 minutes into the match. In the 50th minute there was a penalty for Richmond City. Fabio Melendez stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mario Ferrando. 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramon Barragan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Freddy Izel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mario Ferrando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milton Bustamante in the 63rd minute. Libardo Duarte came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by ELAUBE's Patricio Hibai. But to his dismay, Patricio Hibai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Izel in the 70th minute of play forced Richmond City's goalkeeper Libardo Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Faustino Servando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mario Ferrando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Barragan, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 83 minutes into the match, ELAUBE's goal looked a bit too open when Ramon Barragan came free, but Mario Ferrando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Richmond City's Benji Campos got a free kick in the 89th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Selvin Parada dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mario Ferrando, 2-3. The Richmond City supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Richmond City would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
