Stanton Modipa was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 3 minutes into the match. When the match had been going on for 5 minutes, Chester City AFC's Berwyn Dunkin got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ivan Mangope. In the 11th minute, Johann Stoltz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 16 minutes, Boleslaw Mudry made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Springbok's Ivan Mangope tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg Ivan Mangope managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Chester City AFC's Boleslaw Mudry fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 21 minutes, Boleslaw Mudry made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Springbok's Ivan Mangope tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Huw Howard in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ivan Mangope, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Chester City AFC booed when Springbok was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Sibeko didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Samuel Komani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Springbok's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuel Komani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emrys Fry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute, Chester City AFC's Huw Howard ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ivan Mangope. Ivan Mangope yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. Ivan Mangope took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Huw Howard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 47 minutes, Boleslaw Mudry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chester City AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boleslaw Mudry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Samuel Komani stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Chester City AFC's Huw Howard in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Springbok's goalie prevented a goal. Springbok's Ivan Mangope played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Huw Howard in the 55th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boleslaw Mudry in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Mangope prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ivan Mangope stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boleslaw Mudry's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute, Johann Stoltz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boleslaw Mudry in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Mangope prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Huw Howard scored 5-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivan Mangope, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 65th minute, Chester City AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Samuel Komani fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Boleslaw Mudry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Ivan Mangope tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Huw Howard made a precise shot to the right of Ivan Mangope. Springbok's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boleslaw Mudry in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Mangope prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Samuel Komani's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Emrys Fry skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Huw Howard took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivan Mangope. Ivan Mangope dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. 79 minutes into the game, Peissawg Francis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chester City AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Springbok the free kick. In the 79th minute, Peissawg Francis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 82 minutes of play, Chester City AFC's Huw Howard made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivan Mangope was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 89 played minutes Springbok got a freekick which was hit by Takalani Josephs. If Huw Howard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Chester City AFC fully deserved thier win.
