When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Laerte Favoretto sped through Luna Roja AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ariel Manni. Ronaldinho Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Luna Roja AFC's Camilo Suero got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Camilo Suero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Luna Roja AFC's Aurelio Herrera got a free kick in the 34th minute. Ariel Manni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agostinho Meirelles's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Ariel Manni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Laerte Favoretto went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. If Modesto Uxio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Laerte Favoretto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ariel Manni was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. In the 46thth minute of the game Camilo Suero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Musquiada's Ronaldinho Aguiar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Musquiada were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute Modesto Uxio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldinho Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Musquiada's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Aguiar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Agostinho Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Manni having to interfere. Ronaldinho Aguiar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Luna Roja AFC's zone, Agostinho Meirelles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ariel Manni came out of the goal and Agostinho Meirelles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute, Musquiada's Laerte Favoretto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. The audience was convinced that Laerte Favoretto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ariel Manni was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. 81 minutes into the match, Musquiada's Agostinho Meirelles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ariel Manni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dagoberto de Senna helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th minute, Dagoberto de Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Uxio in the 89th minute of play forced Musquiada's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 minutes, Cleiton Bertassi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Musquiada and the Luna Roja AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Camilo Suero might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronaldinho Aguiar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Camilo Suero ran back to his position shaking his head. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Musquiada walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
