In the 16th minute Godofredo Francis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 方昂军 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ≮王者归来≯东风夜放花千树 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 方昂军 should have stopped the shot. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 92nd minute, 贺桦笑 made a precise shot to the right of 方昂军. ≮王者归来≯东风夜放花千树's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-16. In the 97th minute, Godofredo Francis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 方昂军 was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-17. ≮王者归来≯日本浦和红宝石's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
