A sloppy throw-in by Geovanildo Zago in the 5th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Underdogs's Walery Marud. With a little luck, Underdogs's Brak Gola got control of the ball when Gedeon Káposztás tried to sneak it across the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Grêmio Papão de WC's goal looked a bit too open when Walery Marud came free, but Andréas Linquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Konstanty Orszak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Underdogs's supporters rose to their feet, but Konstanty Orszak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andréas Linquist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gedeon Káposztás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andréas Linquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruud van Nistelrooij, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. A collision led to Grêmio Papão de WC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Nestor Perrando hit a great ball. Grêmio Papão de WC's Andréas Linquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruud van Nistelrooij in the 25th minute of play. After 40 played minutes Grêmio Papão de WC got a freekick which was hit by Kléber Barral. In the 42nd minute Ruud van Nistelrooij shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andréas Linquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brak Gola made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Gedeon Káposztás sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Konstanty Orszak in the 51st minute of play forced Grêmio Papão de WC's goalkeeper Andréas Linquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 minutes of play, Grêmio Papão de WC's Gedeon Káposztás made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brak Gola was left in no man's land by his defense there! 63 minutes into the match, Underdogs's goal looked a bit too open when Gedeon Káposztás came free, but Brak Gola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Apostolis Arvanitoyannis struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Andréas Linquist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Underdogs. With a little luck, Grêmio Papão de WC's Andréas Linquist got control of the ball when Apostolis Arvanitoyannis tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Grêmio Papão de WC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Selman Pektaşi hit a great ball. Andréas Linquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apostolis Arvanitoyannis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grêmio Papão de WC's Andréas Linquist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio Papão de WC from getting a goal against them. Apostolis Arvanitoyannis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Andréas Linquist made a huge save. Brak Gola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gedeon Káposztás in the 95th minute of play. Grêmio Papão de WC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
