Luciano Pirro started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes in the game Eustaquio Fortun did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Judas Verón. Judas Verón recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 9th minute, Racing Club's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Silvio Abadia fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Judas Verón took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cornelio Cordearo. Cornelio Cordearo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Judas Verón managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belgrano de Pibasog's supporters rose to their feet, but Judas Verón was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornelio Cordearo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cornelio Cordearo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Judas Verón, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute Belgrano de Pibasog were awarded a corner. Eustaquio Fortun went to the cornerflag to take it. 20 minutes into the match, Judas Verón notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Racing Club's Cornelio Cordearo. Cornelio Cordearo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 25th minute, Efmamjjasond Bronco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Judas Verón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 30th minute Judas Verón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Cordearo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cornelio Cordearo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Judas Verón in the 31st minute of the match. Belgrano de Pibasog's Judas Verón got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Miroslaw Jajecznica had to leave the field with a concussion. After 44 minutes, Clemente Gaizkine mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Belgrano de Pibasog and the Racing Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes Belgrano de Pibasog got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Gaizkine. Racing Club made a substitution. Homer Field replaced Efmamjjasond Bronco. In the 46th minute, Clemente Gaizkine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
After 52 minutes of play, Belgrano de Pibasog's Judas Verón made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cornelio Cordearo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 57 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Lano came free, but Bernardo Raggio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cornelio Cordearo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blue Dolar, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Belgrano de Pibasog's Melquiades Henrico was substituted for Justino Frederico. Racing Club's Epifanio Txomin was substituted for Luciano Pirro. Belgrano de Pibasog's Garcia Morros was substituted for Blue Dolar. Belgrano de Pibasog's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eustaquio Fortun in the 67th minute. After taking down the ball on Belgrano de Pibasog's corner Eustaquio Fortun fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cornelio Cordearo quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Homer Field got free with Bernardo Raggio in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rd match minute, Belgrano de Pibasog was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Jaunzuria to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Racing Club's goalkeeper Cornelio Cordearo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, Epifanio Txomin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bernardo Raggio, 3-1. Cornelio Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iulian Ilinca in the 82nd minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Iulian Ilinca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Cornelio Cordearo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Iulian Ilinca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cornelio Cordearo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's Iulian Ilinca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cornelio Cordearo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bernardo Raggio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Epifanio Txomin went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. The Belgrano de Pibasog support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
