After 16th play minutes Karl-Magnus Rolandsson shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Héctor Barra and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 22nd minute Luis Jiménez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Ricart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Capo de Provincia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlo Valdivieso to maneuver through the defense. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elpidio Gonzales stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. David Villa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 50th minute of the match, but Rodolfo Ricart made a huge save. Rodolfo Ricart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Riquelme in the 58th minute of the match. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by TEMPLE F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. César Pretot was slow to take the kick. During this time Capo de Provincia's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Jiménez in the 65th minute of play forced TEMPLE F.C.'s goalkeeper Rodolfo Ricart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Jiménez had several of the TEMPLE F.C.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 65 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal.
