The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute of the match AMLUCHO got a corner. Rebelution's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jackie Banks ran over to the corner to take the kick. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerim Altunbaş in the 8th minute of play. If Oliver Petersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nélson Sousa in the 11th minute of play. AMLUCHO's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jackie Banks in the 12th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Rebelution's goal looked a bit too open when Nélson Sousa came free, but Agustín Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oliver Petersson might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Selahaddin Esentürk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oliver Petersson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 32ndth minute of the game Nélson Sousa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rebelution's Agustín Rossi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Oliver Petersson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rebelution's supporters rose to their feet, but Oliver Petersson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Selahaddin Esentürk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Agustín Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kerim Altunbaş in the 40th minute of the match. Oliver Petersson in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Selahaddin Esentürk, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Petersson in the 55th minute of play forced AMLUCHO's goalkeeper Selahaddin Esentürk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Chiquito Flores came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Rebelution fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chiquito Flores couldn't finish the play. Oliver Petersson took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Selahaddin Esentürk. Selahaddin Esentürk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 64 minutes into the match, Rebelution's goalkeeper Agustín Rossi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kerim Altunbaş. Rebelution's Agustín Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nélson Sousa in the 66th minute of play. Rebelution made a substitution. Americo Frascuelo replaced Rodolfo Indartsu. AMLUCHO's Luiz Fábio Trevisan was substituted for Miguel Vilarinho. 75 minutes into the match, Rebelution's goal looked a bit too open when Nélson Sousa came free, but Agustín Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rebelution's Agustín Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nélson Sousa in the 77th minute of play. If Mati Magen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mati Magen got free with Agustín Rossi in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 84 minutes into the match, Rebelution's goal looked a bit too open when Mati Magen came free, but Agustín Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mati Magen in the 84th minute of play. A collision led to AMLUCHO getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Hieronim Tarasek hit a great ball. In the 93rdth minute of the game Mati Magen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rebelution's Agustín Rossi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rebelution's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jackie Banks was slow to take the kick. During this time AMLUCHO's players had a chance to rest. Jackie Banks made a great header on AMLUCHO's corner, it was just that Rebelution's Agustín Rossi managed to reach the ball for a save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rebelution fans cheered their team off the field, for while AMLUCHO had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
