When Pablo Pirro fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SOUTH THUNDER's protests and gave Pablo Pirro a yellow card for diving instead. Pablo Pirro kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Maci FC's Claudio Nicolai sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruno Balendin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maci FC were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after SOUTH THUNDER's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alvise Gambini took the corner. Alvise Gambini made a great header on Maci FC's corner, it was just that SOUTH THUNDER's Bruno Balendin managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Claudio Nicolai sped through SOUTH THUNDER's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bruno Balendin. 17 minutes into the match, Claudio Nicolai notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of SOUTH THUNDER's Bruno Balendin. Bruno Balendin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alberigo Biavati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Godoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Maci FC's goalkeeper Alberigo Biavati had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arturo Acevedo. Claudio Nicolai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Balendin having to interfere. In the 31st match minute, Maci FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fortunato Madonna to maneuver through the defense. Arturo Acevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Alberigo Biavati made a huge save. In the 33rd minute Isidoro Godoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberigo Biavati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arturo Acevedo got free with Alberigo Biavati in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudio Nicolai in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Balendin saved SOUTH THUNDER from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cleto Elixio during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 played minutes SOUTH THUNDER got a freekick which was hit by Cleto Elixio.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudio Nicolai made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Arturo Acevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SOUTH THUNDER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Acevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ezequiel Leizarraga fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SOUTH THUNDER's protests and gave Ezequiel Leizarraga a yellow card for diving instead. 59 minutes into the match, Isidoro Godoy notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Maci FC's Alberigo Biavati. Alberigo Biavati was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arturo Acevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Alberigo Biavati tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of SOUTH THUNDER booed when Maci FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciccio Schirru didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 72 minutes of play, Maci FC's Claudio Nicolai made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Balendin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Claudio Nicolai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Maci FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Corrado Farina hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Isidoro Godoy managed to get in a good position for a shot. SOUTH THUNDER's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidoro Godoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberigo Biavati breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Maci FC's Claudio Nicolai got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 82nd minute, Santiago Tome made a precise shot to the right of Alberigo Biavati. Maci FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. In the 87thth minute of the game Isidoro Godoy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maci FC's Alberigo Biavati was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arturo Acevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberigo Biavati having to interfere. The supporters of SOUTH THUNDER booed when Maci FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bianco Landolfi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 96 played minutes Maci FC got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Biagetti. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
