Claudio Nicolai started the match with the kick off. Viriato Leal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fortunato Madonna, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 7th minute, Juliano Simões hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Maci FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Bianco Fiorentino hit a great ball. Alberigo Biavati made an important save on a dangerous shot by Egídio Trindade in the 11th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Bianco Fiorentino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maci FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Clube Patrício the free kick. In the 12th minute, Bianco Fiorentino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Maci FC's Alberigo Biavati got control of the ball when Tarcísio Lopes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teófilo Melo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Alberigo Biavati made a huge save. Viriato Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Nicolai in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fortunato Madonna in the 32nd minute of play forced Sporting Clube Patrício's goalkeeper Viriato Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th match minute, Sporting Clube Patrício was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Garcia to maneuver through the defense. Cristiano Garcia was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 37th minute. Sporting Clube Patrício's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Alberigo Biavati made an important save on a dangerous shot by Egídio Trindade in the 44th minute. With his leg Alberigo Biavati managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Sporting Clube Patrício's Egídio Trindade fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Egídio Trindade to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Egídio Trindade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maci FC's Alberigo Biavati was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 64 minutes of play, Sporting Clube Patrício's Egídio Trindade made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alberigo Biavati was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Egídio Trindade sped through Maci FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alberigo Biavati. In the 75th minute Fortunato Madonna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viriato Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maci FC's Alberigo Biavati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teófilo Melo in the 79th minute of play. Alberigo Biavati showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egídio Trindade, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Egídio Trindade sped through Maci FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alberigo Biavati. In the 87th minute, Egídio Trindade left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Clube Patrício fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Egídio Trindade in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberigo Biavati prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 94 minutes into the game, Dave Reali cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Viriato Leal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Maci FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sporting Clube Patrício.
