Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Nelson Cloarec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Nicolai in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maci FC's goalkeeper Alberigo Biavati, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Ciccio Schirru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 played minutes Maci FC got a freekick which was hit by Frank Sarnelli. Alberigo Biavati showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davy Giacomoni, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Nelson Cloarec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Nicolai in the 21st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Formation Pure Lyonnaise defense, Fortunato Madonna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nelson Cloarec. The Formation Pure Lyonnaise fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nelson Cloarec should have stopped the shot. Gaspard Letourneux who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Alberigo Biavati when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Davy Giacomoni took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Alberigo Biavati to make any attempt to save it. After 32 minutes, Davy Giacomoni made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Maci FC's Alberigo Biavati tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Reali in the 42nd minute of play forced Formation Pure Lyonnaise's goalkeeper Nelson Cloarec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudio Nicolai to strike the kick off in the second half. Alberigo Biavati showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davy Giacomoni, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The Formation Pure Lyonnaise fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Davy Giacomoni looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Alberigo Biavati had in the 57thth minute some difficulties stopping Gaspard Letourneux's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Nelson Cloarec made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Ciccio Schirru sent off a good shot on target. 65 minutes into the game, Frank Sarnelli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maci FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Formation Pure Lyonnaise the free kick. After 65 played minutes Maci FC got a freekick which was hit by Frank Sarnelli. When Léonard Laumond fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Formation Pure Lyonnaise's protests and gave Léonard Laumond a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes Formation Pure Lyonnaise got a freekick which was hit by Léonard Laumond. After 71 minutes, Claudio Nicolai made it 4-2 with a short kick to the right side. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Nelson Cloarec tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Alberigo Biavati came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Gaspard Letourneux. But to his dismay, Gaspard Letourneux quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Martin Falaise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberigo Biavati having to interfere. Davy Giacomoni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Alberigo Biavati tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Nelson Cloarec got control of the ball when Claudio Nicolai tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cyril Chevron hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the match, Maci FC's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Falaise came free, but Alberigo Biavati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mohamed-Ali Duparc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberigo Biavati having to interfere.
