When Rudolph Thurman fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Canalla de Chicago's protests and gave Rudolph Thurman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, El Canalla de Chicago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudolph Thurman to maneuver through the defense. When El Canalla de Chicago's Clark Lindsey in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Pablo Solari hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 34th match minute, SOUTH THUNDER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Matia to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, SOUTH THUNDER's goal looked a bit too open when Clark Lindsey came free, but Benito Argi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Clark Lindsey came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the El Canalla de Chicago fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clark Lindsey couldn't finish the play. Cobi Babcock hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clark Lindsey to make the kick off. When Clark Lindsey came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the El Canalla de Chicago fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clark Lindsey couldn't finish the play. In the 55th minute Clark Lindsey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Argi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58thth minute of the game Pablo Solari who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Canalla de Chicago's Jonah Peck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When SOUTH THUNDER's Pablo Solari in 58 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Jonah Peck guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After 59 minutes, Julian Corcoran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Canalla de Chicago and the SOUTH THUNDER players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joseph Marquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. El Canalla de Chicago made a substitution. Scott Souza replaced Bernie Rosales. A collision led to El Canalla de Chicago getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Joseph Marquez hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Scott Souza during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 80 played minutes El Canalla de Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Scott Souza. The referee felt a red card was in order, 84 minutes into the game, when Arnaldo Theodore put in a rough tackle. In the 83rd minute, one of SOUTH THUNDER:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SOUTH THUNDER. After 88 minutes, Leo Finn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Canalla de Chicago and the SOUTH THUNDER players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th match minute, El Canalla de Chicago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Finn to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clark Lindsey in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Argi saved SOUTH THUNDER from getting behind. Benito Argi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Scott Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. El Canalla de Chicago were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SOUTH THUNDER for a fine match.
