Jude Vang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Procopio in the 12th minute of play. When Augusto Procopio came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the SOUTH THUNDER fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Procopio couldn't finish the play. Domingo Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desiderio Endura having to interfere. Desiderio Endura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Domingo Lopez went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Domingo Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th match minute, El Canalla de Chicago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daron Davidson to maneuver through the defense. After 47 played minutes SOUTH THUNDER got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Teofilio. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Domingo Lopez to make the kick off.
