Visen Allu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horacio Jesus Carvallo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Candido Piedra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo Zárate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filip Balonek got a throw-in 9 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Qi Qing. When Visen Allu came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Altermundi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Visen Allu couldn't finish the play. Candido Piedra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Zárate in the 13th minute of play. Alexandro Cattalán hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Candido Piedra came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Baez FC's Thalis Papazisis. But to his dismay, Thalis Papazisis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Baez FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Danilo Zárate hit a great ball. Altermundi FC's Candido Piedra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ni Zhen Feng in the 27th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Thalis Papazisis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Piedra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Candido Piedra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ni Zhen Feng, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Visen Allu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Horacio Jesus Carvallo firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 45th minute Thalis Papazisis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Piedra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Thalis Papazisis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Baez FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thalis Papazisis to strike the kick off in the second half. Altermundi FC's Candido Piedra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Altermundi FC from getting a goal against them. Altermundi FC were furious when Henk Everts was red carded, 56 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Ni Zhen Feng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candido Piedra having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, Frank De Jong was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baez FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Altermundi FC the free kick. A collision led to Baez FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Frank De Jong hit a great ball. Pedro Reyes hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Baez FC played a much better game than Altermundi FC and deserved their victory. The Altermundi FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
