After 2 played minutes Inter de Chillán got a freekick which was hit by Albino Zenteno. 8 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Anton Björnberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gong Ao Guang. Anton Björnberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gong Ao Guang in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute C.A. Peñarol were awarded a corner. Jimeno Infante went to the cornerflag to take it. Hao Xu Jun made in the 15th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Inter de Chillán's Albino Zenteno. Gong Ao Guang might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anton Björnberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gong Ao Guang ran back to his position shaking his head. Anton Björnberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gong Ao Guang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anton Björnberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gong Ao Guang, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 38 minutes into the match, C.A. Peñarol's goal looked a bit too open when Vatan Enfal came free, but Xaiver Rosende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xaiver Rosende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Sotta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Gong Ao Guang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anton Björnberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 45th minute of the game Hao Xu Jun made a throw-in which Nicolas Alen played forward. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Vatan Enfal made the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Salvador Mateluna in the 53rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by C.A. Peñarol's Goran Lindegger. Inter de Chillán's Anton Björnberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gong Ao Guang in the 56th minute of play. In the 68th minute of the match C.A. Peñarol got a corner. Inter de Chillán's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jimeno Infante ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on C.A. Peñarol's corner Jimeno Infante fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Anton Björnberg quite easily take care of the ball. Rickard Erserman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Xaiver Rosende made a huge save. In the 83rd minute, Mercurio San Martín hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of C.A. Peñarol booed when Inter de Chillán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Mateluna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albino Zenteno hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Anton Björnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Infante in the 92nd minute of play. C.A. Peñarol were awarded a corner in the 93th minute after Inter de Chillán's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jimeno Infante took the corner. Rickard Erserman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Xaiver Rosende made a huge save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Inter de Chillán players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for C.A. Peñarol.
