Cassiano Novais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of SiTomanBoy´s booed when Club Deportes La Serena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mirco Milbradt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tobías Quilempan came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by SiTomanBoy´s's Hernán Torrejón. But to his dismay, Hernán Torrejón quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Tobías Quilempan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calvin Bessone in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, SiTomanBoy´s's goal looked a bit too open when Soso Cheishvili came free, but James Novak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Soso Cheishvili ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. James Novak was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Hernán Torrejón recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ermegildo Fazzini came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Club Deportes La Serena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ermegildo Fazzini couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ermegildo Fazzini to make the kick off. Tobías Quilempan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernán Torrejón, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tobías Quilempan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stelios Tsilikas in the 53rd minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, SiTomanBoy´s's Hernán Torrejón sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tobías Quilempan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, SiTomanBoy´s's James Novak got control of the ball when Soso Cheishvili tried to sneak it across the goal line. SiTomanBoy´s made a substitution. Verner Nord made in the 62nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Club Deportes La Serena's Georgiy Fedoseev. Tobías Quilempan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Verner Nord in the 63rd minute of the match. A collision led to Club Deportes La Serena getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Bonifacio Cristofor hit a great ball. Tobías Quilempan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Montt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Deportes La Serena made a substitution. The SiTomanBoy´s fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Club Deportes La Serena's Tobías Quilempan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toninho Guerreiro in the 81st minute of play. In the 86th minute Edgardo Garzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but James Novak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, Toninho Guerreiro made a precise shot to the right of Tobías Quilempan. Club Deportes La Serena's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Tobías Quilempan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 97 minutes into the match, Club Deportes La Serena's goal looked a bit too open when Verner Nord came free, but Tobías Quilempan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Deportes La Serena's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
