With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valentin Ospetsu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bernardo Colle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valentin Ospetsu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Frutos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Guntademaro Macera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC booed when Barrio Norte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elazar Talamilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute of the match, Bernardo Colle tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Valentin Ospetsu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 38th minute Bernardo Colle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Ospetsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Yerko Son fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barrio Norte FC's protests and gave Yerko Son a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Yerko Son hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th match minute, Barrio Norte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldo Ponce to maneuver through the defense. After 48 played minutes Barrio Norte FC got a freekick which was hit by Waldo Ponce. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osvaldo Frutos to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Osvaldo Frutos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guntademaro Macera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Barrio Norte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Viñe came free, but Valentin Ospetsu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Viñe in the 69th minute of play forced Barrio Norte FC's goalkeeper Valentin Ospetsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentin Ospetsu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Viñe in the 75th minute of the match. Martin Viñe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Ospetsu having to interfere. Barrio Norte FC's Don Elias was substituted for Yerko Son. The audience was convinced that Karlos Bravo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guntademaro Macera was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Hugo Orlando Artigas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Waldo Ponce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute Martin Viñe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Ospetsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
