A collision led to Barrio Norte FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Yerko Son hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Barrio Norte FC's Juan Jose Peacock got a free kick in the 16th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Lalo Vilchez in the 18th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Barrio Norte FC's Juan Luis Potts. When Osvaldo Frutos came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Barrio Norte FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldo Frutos couldn't finish the play. Colo-Colo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Honorio Droguett in the 24th minute. Yerko Son blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rambo Ramírez having to make a save. Elazar Talamilla made in the 37th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Osvaldo Frutos. Rubén Martínez might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valentin Ospetsu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rubén Martínez ran back to his position shaking his head. 44 minutes into the match, Barrio Norte FC's goalkeeper Valentin Ospetsu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rubén Martínez. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Rambo Ramírez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Frutos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute Vitório de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rambo Ramírez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldo Frutos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rambo Ramírez having to make a save. Rambo Ramírez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Frutos in the 58th minute of the match. The Colo-Colo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0.
