Xaiver Rosende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerard Utrera in the 15th minute of play. C.A. Peñarol's Xaiver Rosende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amaru Marileo in the 16th minute of play. Nahuel Catrileo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gong Ao Guang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C.A. Peñarol's Gong Ao Guang got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gong Ao Guang took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nahuel Catrileo. Nahuel Catrileo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gong Ao Guang got free with Nahuel Catrileo in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. C.F. Leftraro's Nahuel Catrileo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save C.F. Leftraro from getting a goal against them. Xaiver Rosende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amaru Marileo in the 79th minute of the match. Peñarol's Gong Ao Guang got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. C.F. Leftraro's Lautaro Millanao was substituted for Gerard Utrera. C.F. Leftraro's Camilo Tassara was substituted for Chico Ernesti. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amaru Marileo in the 96th minute of play forced C.A. Peñarol's goalkeeper Xaiver Rosende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The C.A. Peñarol supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing C.A. Peñarol would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
