Nicodemo Recalde stood somewhat misplaced when Ermegildo Fazzini came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 10 minute. In the 18th minute, Hans Hadders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute of the match, Soso Cheishvili got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nicodemo Recalde was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With his leg Nicodemo Recalde managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Club Deportes La Serena's Ermegildo Fazzini fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ermegildo Fazzini made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Said Hamed's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicodemo Recalde was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Ermegildo Fazzini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Nicodemo Recalde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
